Fortunately, she did not turn up and instead took the note to bosses at the TV network. Georgie made the shock revelation while presenting her radio show with former Arsenal footballer Perry Groves. She said: Theres kind of a reason why I dont really open my mail here at talkSPORT. When I was at Sky Sports News we used to get quite a lot of weird mail, and you get people sending you stuff. Well lets just say I didnt really like opening my post at Sky Sports News either, and for those people under 30, yes I used to be on Sky Sports News and yes I know I dont look like I did. Anyway, so basically there was this guy who used to send me presents, and what he used to do was make like a mug with my face on it in lots of different pictures, and he made me a clock with my face on it. It was really odd stuff. Anyway, I got a letter from this guys mum about three months later saying he died and that he was a massive fan of mine, and [she asked] would I go to the funeral? I actually took this to my bosses at Sky, and said what do you think of this? And they were like, no its ok, you dont [need to go]. Georgie was chatting to former Arsenal player Perry Groves (Image: Arsenal FC via Getty Images) [I asked] Do I need to reply? And they said, well maybe just a polite note saying thank you very much. Anyway, this guy had not died. He tried to fake his funeral. She went on: He wanted to fake his death and funeral so I go to his apparent funeral, and that was a bit weird. That was really weird. Groves, 51, speculated that the stalker might have invited a vicar along to marry them, to which she replied: Oh Perry, thats a bit more scary. At the weekend Georgie sent Arsenal and Leicester fans into meltdown on social media when she tweeted that PFA player of the year Riyad
Mahrez was on her plane to London. Fans of the London club were hoping the Algerian was about to sign for them while Leicester fans were fearful he was about to leave.
